Overlooked by the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, the Pouilly-Fuissé PDO is produced in the villages of Chaintré, Vergisson, Fuissé and Solutré-Pouilly . 20 000 years prior to our time, one of the most evolved prehistoric civilizations known to this day chose to make this place its home, on the same soils where the Chardonnay grapes thrive today.
The Pouilly-Fuissé vineyards owned by Domaine de la Creuze Noire are located on two different localities of the PDO. On the one hand, the “Clos Saint-Vincent” where the vines are planted on a plateau with limestone-clay soils oriented to the South-West. On the other hand, the “Clos de Monsieur Noly” which is part of the 22 localities of the PDO having received the “Premier Cru” distinction in 2020. Here, the vines are planted on plots situated in gentle slopes made of “chailles” limestone and clay with a South-West exposure.
