The Mâcon-Villages PDO is composed of a multitude of valleys ideal for vine growing. The vineyard extends on more than 40km and goes back to the age of the Roman Empire. The PDO covers the borough of Mâcon and 11 villages around it.
The vines of our estate, on the Mâcon-Villages appellation, are situated in the villages of Vinzelles and Crèches-sur-Saône, planted on limestone-clay soils allowing the thriving of the Chardonnay grapes.
Regarding the Mâcon-Fuissé PDO, geographically located between the Saint-Véran and Mâcon-Loché PDO’s, it is one of the historic cradles of the Chardonnay grape in the Mâconnais vineyards.
The vines are planted on the localities “Les Châtaigniers” and “Les Grandes Bruyères”. The first one has hard limestone soils whereas the second one has volcanic rock soils. The wines we obtain are floral, with aromas of ripe stone fruits.
