Saint-Véran
"Les Carrales"
Vintage 2017: Hachette Wine Guide 2020 favorite
GRAPE: 100% Chardonnay
This Saint-Véran is a single vineyard wine coming from the lieu-dit “Les Carrales” which gives marvelous examples of what the appellation has to offer.
At first, it unveils itself through its pale gold color. The nose is complex, offering intense litchi, mango and vanilla notes with hints of white flowers. On the palate, it has a certain lightness at first which is quickly overtaken by a great richness with a touch of minerality and persistant notes of exotic fruits.
It should be served between 12 and 14°C, and goes along perfectly with lobster, escargots, or sea fruits. It will age very well between 5 to 7 years.
